Jumana Ibrahim-Bacha

B.Sc. Biophysic (HU Berlin), Master student

As a master’s student with a biophysics background, the combination of mechanics and biology naturally excites me. For that reason, I am delighted to be doing my study project in the Klotzsch Group.
Generally, my interests lie in the field of medical biophysics and the interplay of research and medical applications. During my research project, I want to investigate the effects of biomechanical activation of human B cells on their respective phenotypes.
herefore, I will use methods such as Flow Cytometry and ELISA to detect changes in cytokine expression and antibody secretion. With my research, I hope to make a small contribution to the improvement of immunotherapy against a variety of autoimmune diseases.
