Dr. Sebastian Lickert

Collaborator - Group Leader at ETH Zurich

I am a dedicated scientist and lecturer at ETH Zurich with a background in biomedical engineering and focusing on how biophysical cues modulate the behavior of blood cells. During my PhD in the Laboratory of Applied Mechanobiology (Prof. Viola Vogel), I shed new light on how the mechanobiology of platelets impacts blood clotting and the early tissue repair. To follow my entrepreneurial spirit and my vision to transform scientific concepts into live-saving product solutions, I currently lead a team together with HU Berlin that exploits the mechano-regulation of T cells to advance adoptive immunotherapies.
